2017 Benefits Information for Medicare Eligible Retirees

The University System of Georgia (USG) provides health care coverage to Medicare-eligible retirees through the Aon Retiree Health Exchange.  For 2017, the USG will contribute $2,736 (same as last year)  to a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) for each Medicare eligible retiree and/or dependent enrolled in coverage through the Aon Retiree Health Exchange.  

Medicare Open Enrollment

The 2017, Medicare Open Enrollment period is October 15, 2016 – December 7, 2016. If you are enrolled in health care coverage through the Aon Retiree Health Exchange and want to keep your current coverage for next year, no action is required.  If you would like to change your coverage for next year, please contact the Aon Retiree Health Exchange at 1-866-212-5052.

USG Life, Dental and Vision Coverage

If you are currently enrolled in USG life, dental, or vision coverage, you can continue that coverage in 2017. If you drop coverage under these plans, you cannot re-enroll. For more information, view the 2017 Comparison Guide.

Update Your Address & Beneficiaries

All retirees are encouraged to make sure that their address and beneficiaries on file are correct.  You may do this by reviewing your personal information in the ADP Portal.  If you need assistance with portal password resets or if you have forgotten your ADP Portal ID, please contact the USG Shared Services Center at 1-855-214-2644.
